Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LINC02180 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LINC02180’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where LINC02180 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LINC02180 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, KIRP, and BRCA are the cancer types where LINC02180 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
