Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LINC01666 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LINC01666’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where LINC01666 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LINC01666 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, KIRC, and LUSC are the cancer types where LINC01666 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
