Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LINC01043 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LINC01043’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where LINC01043 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LINC01043 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BRCA, COAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where LINC01043 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
