Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LINC01007 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LINC01007’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where LINC01007 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LINC01007 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PRAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRP, COAD, and PRAD are the cancer types where LINC01007 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
