Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LINC00572 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LINC00572’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where LINC00572 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LINC00572 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and ESCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KICH, PRAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where LINC00572 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
