LINC00559

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LINC00559 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of LINC00559’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where LINC00559 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types LINC00559 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KICH, KIRC, and THCA are the cancer types where LINC00559 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
