Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LGALS9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LGALS9 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher LGALS9 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LGALS9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
COAD, UCEC, and LUAD are the cancer types where LGALS9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
