Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LGALS2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LGALS2 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher LGALS2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LGALS2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD, KIRP, and MESO are the cancer types where LGALS2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
