Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LGALS12 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated LGALS12 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher LGALS12 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LGALS12 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and ESCA show a favorable association.
OV, STAD, and LGG are the cancer types where LGALS12 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
