Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LEFTY2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LEFTY2 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher LEFTY2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LEFTY2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
STAD are the cancer types where LEFTY2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
