Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LCT-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated LCT-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher LCT-AS1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LCT-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and HNSC show a favorable association.

SKCM, ACC, and KIRP are the cancer types where LCT-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
