Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LAS1L RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated LAS1L data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher LAS1L RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LAS1L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and OV show a favorable association.
UVM, KIRC, and MESO are the cancer types where LAS1L RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
