Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LAS1L Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LAS1L data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher LAS1L Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LAS1L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and LUAD show a favorable association.

ESCA, MESO, and LGG are the cancer types where LAS1L Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
