Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LAS1L mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LAS1L data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher LAS1L mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LAS1L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and HNSC show a favorable association.

LUAD, PDAC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where LAS1L mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
