Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LAPTM4A-DT RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated LAPTM4A-DT data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher LAPTM4A-DT RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LAPTM4A-DT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and MESO show a favorable association.
KIRC, UCS, and KICH are the cancer types where LAPTM4A-DT RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
