Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP26-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRTAP26-1 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher KRTAP26-1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP26-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and UCEC show a favorable association.

LIHC, THYM, and SCLC are the cancer types where KRTAP26-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
