Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP26-1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KRTAP26-1 data layer compared with 10 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher KRTAP26-1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP26-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUSC, and KIRP are the cancer types where KRTAP26-1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
