Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP21-2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 16 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRTAP21-2 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher KRTAP21-2 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP21-2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CESC and UCS show a favorable association.

CESC, COAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where KRTAP21-2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
