Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRTAP1-5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRTAP1-5 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher KRTAP1-5 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRTAP1-5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as THCA and GBM show a favorable association.

KICH, BRCA, and THYM are the cancer types where KRTAP1-5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
