Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRT8P38 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of KRT8P38’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where KRT8P38 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types KRT8P38 is over-expressed in tumor.
BLCA, LUAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where KRT8P38 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
