Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRT8P30 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 16 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of KRT8P30’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where KRT8P30 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types KRT8P30 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD, KIRP, and HNSC are the cancer types where KRT8P30 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
