Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRT20 RNA is linked to patient survival in 17 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRT20 data layer compared with 10 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher KRT20 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRT20 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC and ACC show a favorable association.
HNSC, KIRP, and LIHC are the cancer types where KRT20 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.

Ranked by sampling consensus. AUC1 and AUC2 indicate survival in the high- and low-expression groups, respectively; the lower AUC marks the poorer-surviving group. p-values are from the log-rank test.
