Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRT16P5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 16 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRT16P5 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher KRT16P5 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRT16P5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and KIRP show a favorable association.
KICH, UVM, and KIRC are the cancer types where KRT16P5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
