Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KRT16P1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 16 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KRT16P1 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher KRT16P1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KRT16P1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and ACC show a favorable association.
UVM, SKCM, and PAAD are the cancer types where KRT16P1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
