Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KNCN RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KNCN data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher KNCN RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KNCN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC and PAAD show a favorable association.
KIRC, ACC, and SCLC are the cancer types where KNCN RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
