Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KMT5B RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KMT5B data layer compared with 9 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher KMT5B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KMT5B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and UCS show a favorable association.
CESC, KIRC, and ACC are the cancer types where KMT5B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
