Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KMT2A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KMT2A data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 10 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher KMT2A mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KMT2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and HNSC show a favorable association.

LUAD, HNSC, and PDAC are the cancer types where KMT2A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
