Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KLK6 RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KLK6 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher KLK6 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KLK6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and THCA show a favorable association.
KIRP, BLCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where KLK6 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
