Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KLHL40 RNA is linked to patient survival in 17 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KLHL40 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher KLHL40 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KLHL40 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and ESCA show a favorable association.
KICH, HNSC, and MESO are the cancer types where KLHL40 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
