Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KLHDC8B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of KLHDC8B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where KLHDC8B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types KLHDC8B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, KICH, and HNSC are the cancer types where KLHDC8B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
