Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KIRREL1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KIRREL1 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher KIRREL1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KIRREL1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and LUAD show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and LUAD are the cancer types where KIRREL1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
