Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KIN Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KIN data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher KIN Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KIN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KIRC, LUSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where KIN Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
