Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KIFC1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KIFC1 data layer compared with 32 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher KIFC1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KIFC1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV show a favorable association.
KIRP, OV, and BLCA are the cancer types where KIFC1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
