Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KIFBP Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KIFBP data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher KIFBP Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KIFBP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BRCA, UCEC, and LUSC are the cancer types where KIFBP Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
