Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KIF5A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KIF5A data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine carcinosarcoma (UCS), where higher KIF5A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KIF5A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
UCS, PRAD, and LUAD are the cancer types where KIF5A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
