Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KIF2A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KIF2A data layer compared with 31 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher KIF2A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KIF2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
MESO, UCEC, and BLCA are the cancer types where KIF2A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
