Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KIF21B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KIF21B data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher KIF21B Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KIF21B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and STAD show a favorable association.
UCEC, HNSC, and STAD are the cancer types where KIF21B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
