Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KIF20A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KIF20A data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher KIF20A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KIF20A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC, STAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where KIF20A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
