Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KIF16B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KIF16B data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher KIF16B Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KIF16B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, BRCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where KIF16B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
