Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KIAA0408 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of KIAA0408’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where KIAA0408 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types KIAA0408 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, COAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where KIAA0408 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
