Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KEL Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KEL data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher KEL Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KEL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
LIHC, UCEC, and PRAD are the cancer types where KEL Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
