Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCTD6 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KCTD6 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher KCTD6 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCTD6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC and UCEC are the cancer types where KCTD6 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
