Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCTD17 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KCTD17 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher KCTD17 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCTD17 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC and READ show a favorable association.
KIRC, UVM, and MESO are the cancer types where KCTD17 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
