Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCNMA1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KCNMA1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher KCNMA1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCNMA1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and UCEC show a favorable association.

LSCC, LUAD, and CCRCC are the cancer types where KCNMA1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
