Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCNJ3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KCNJ3 data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), where higher KCNJ3 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCNJ3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
READ, UCEC, and LIHC are the cancer types where KCNJ3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
