Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCNJ2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KCNJ2 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 10 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher KCNJ2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCNJ2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
GBM are the cancer types where KCNJ2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
