Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCNE5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KCNE5 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher KCNE5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCNE5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
CESC, UCEC, and COAD are the cancer types where KCNE5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
