Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCNA5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KCNA5 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher KCNA5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCNA5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.

ESCA, STAD, and LGG are the cancer types where KCNA5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
