Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KATNIP mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KATNIP data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher KATNIP mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KATNIP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
PDAC, CCRCC, and HNSC are the cancer types where KATNIP mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
