Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ITM2C mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ITM2C data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher ITM2C mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ITM2C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and CCRCC show a favorable association.

LSCC, HNSC, and GBM are the cancer types where ITM2C mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
